VICE News alerts us that Tucker Carlson spent 12 minutes going off about Canada's 'dangerous authoritarianism'

Now we feel bad that we can’t find a clip of Tucker Carlson’s show from Wednesday night. VICE News says that Carlson spent 12 minutes on Canada’s COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, which Twitchy covered Tuesday. In short, travelers to Canada will have to pass a PCR test upon boarding the plane and then pass another PCR test when they land. Then they’ll have to wait at an approved hotel, at their own expense, for the results of the test to come back.

If your test results come back positive, you’ll need to immediately quarantine in designated government facilities. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emphasized that “this is not optional.” And to think Carlson likened that to an internment camp.

Yeah, what’s that, VICE News? “Republican states that have been reluctant to implement public health measures like Texas and Florida have recorded some of the highest COVID-19 infection and death rates in the country.” You mean Republican states like New York and New Jersey?

Apparently thinking she’s debunking Carlson’s segment, Anya Zoledziowski writes:

People who break quarantine could face up to $750,000 in fines or up to six months in jail under the Quarantine Act. Fines of $1 million and jail times as high as three years are only listed if a person breaks quarantine and causes death or serious harm to another.

Those who fail to follow rules at hotels will likely face a $3,000 fine per infraction, according to Health Canada.

One concerning sexual assault case did take place at a Montreal quarantine hotel. Health Canada said it’s aware of the incident and is investigating. In the meantime, “government of Canada employees and security personnel are stationed at designated quarantine facilities to help provide a safe and secure environment,” the official site says.

Oh, the official site says so.

This is the same guy who’s been caught wearing blackface more than once, right? Let’s obey him without question.
