Thanks to @Yeticast for catching this, because it’s pretty breathtaking. Appearing on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” former senator Heidi Heitkamp explains to Maher who (former) “Mandalorian” actress Gina Carano is: “She is a Nazi.” (Insert laughter here.) “She’s involved with white supremacy,” added Heitkamp, apparently hoping to evoke more laughter.
Why have I not seen anyone talking about this? A former US Senator called @ginacarano some of the most heinous things while on Real Time with Bill Maher. How is this not slander? pic.twitter.com/34iFt1STCR
— Yeticast (@Yeticast) March 29, 2021
Carano was not as amused.
Here we have more of the dehumanizing phase of cancel culture.
-Repeat lies over and over until the population takes them as “truth”.
False, disturbing & disgusting language coming from a former US Senator. @HeidiHeitkamp
You knew as soon as you said it you were liable. https://t.co/O4AiHVMYFH

Sue her. That’s the only way they’ll stop. Crowdfund the legal action if need be.
— Rita Panahi (@RitaPanahi) March 30, 2021
Do it so they learn, please.

Pretty sure there are enough lawyers who'd do this one pro bono, but yes
— Emperor Caddick ? (@EmperorCaddick) March 30, 2021
100%. I'll kick in.
— Carmo (@Carmo01826226) March 30, 2021
Sue her. This is outrageous.
— Melissa Mackenzie (@MelissaTweets) March 29, 2021
Do it. Make her apologize.
— Robot Head (@iamrobothead) March 29, 2021
Sue her regardless
She won't apologize
Nor will she mean it— Easter Cactus ?? (@cactikaktos) March 29, 2021
I’d donate anywhere from $1-$100, perhaps more, to a crowdfounded effort to sue this woman for defamation, libel, slander, etc — why is no one offering this?

@ForceofLightEn1 screenshot this. Hmm coincidence? I think not. pic.twitter.com/Ij16suV5BK

Good catch … Disney owns both ABC and Lucasfilm.

And the whole clip shows them saying cancel culture is bad but they were quick to say something about Gina. So cancel culture is only bad when it's against them. Wake up people we can't let this keep going!

We are heading down a very dark path.

Politicians in fear of losing control – because they know it’s coming. But they hope as long as they can label outliers and those who speak the truth, they can demonize them.
— Casascius Clay (@bigshiny90) March 29, 2021
Please sue this person. Please.
— Chris Blec (@ChrisBlec) March 29, 2021
If people start suing, they'll learn to stop this shit.
— Uncle X (@TheXTeamVan) March 29, 2021
I would be really interested in an update on your next step here, if you make one.
— Rachel Francis (@rachelfrancis90) March 30, 2021
Sue her into bankruptcy.
— J.R.S (@_JRS79) March 30, 2021
Good on Bill for calling her out. People throw out this stuff like there’s no consequences. I’ve never seen less unity in my life.
— Gizmo359 (@gizmo359) March 30, 2021
Instead of suing, how about 3 rounds in the octagon for charity on PPV???
— Tracy Robbins (@tracyrobbins) March 30, 2021
The SNL skit done on you was also bs. It’s amazing how the media works together to frame their narrative. It’s so easy to see through if you saw it all unfold without the media’s biased and false framing.
— Elvick (@Elvick) March 29, 2021
She was closing her eyes when she was saying it too, it was like a part of her didn't even believe or grasp what she was saying
— madam warfare? (@pieceofabanana) March 29, 2021
People like @HeidiHeitkamp need to be held responsible for things like this. The way she altered her statement back to back shows that she knew she was lying. They do it to everyone because they have no fear of consequences. These things need to go to court. They only get worse.

Sue!!! pic.twitter.com/v4Dc1I2PgJ

On the plus side, even Maher pushed back more than I expected. It’s the usual mischaracterize and ridicule. Sad, but a lot of us know the whole story.
