It’s not even New Year’s Day and Bloomberg News has already broken S.E. Cupp’s resolution that the media scrutinize the 2020 Democratic candidates as closely as they scrutinized President Trump. Knowing that they’d be seen as biased covering Michael Bloomberg’s Democratic campaign, Bloomberg News resolved not to investigate any of the Democratic candidates.
It’s fitting that Cupp’s resolution for the media was tweeted by CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” which consists of anything but.
2020 resolutions for the news media: @SECupp wants "all of us to resolve to be just as scrutinous of the 2020 Democratic candidates as we have deservedly been of Trump." pic.twitter.com/dSPmVm0Ugt

So far, not so good. Start with the Bidens. https://t.co/82TEVUXxI1

Leave Hunter Biden out of this! Kids of candidates are off-limits — even 49-year-old kids.

CNN Anchor: And now, for a live update on the President…
White House Correspondent (outside Mara Lago): President Trump is up early this morning re-tweeting Fox and Friends. The President seems aggrieved. Back to you.
CNN Anchor: Thank you for that report. Up next, the tweet

Perfect resolution and very well said, sadly it will be broken by January 2nd.
— Joe Zambataro (@joezambataro) December 27, 2019
It’ll never be followed at all. On Jan 1, 12:00:00 am, someone on CNN will give Warren or Biden a pass on something.

I’ll be waiting a loooooong time for @cnn to have a 6 person round table full of republicans ripping on every single thing the democrat nominee has said or done in their lifetime…group think at its best.

Amen….but there ain't a snow balls chance in Honolulu of that happening, eh?

Things that will never happen

I bet that will go in one ear and out the other
— James Spurling (@JamesSpurling5) December 28, 2019
Good luck with that resolution!
— Lynn M. Rogers ✝️ (@manchogagog) December 28, 2019
The fact that they need this to be a resolution is telling. The fact that Stelter nods in agreement is an admission that he hasn’t even attempted to actually do his actual job of news media watchdog.

This. From the Cult of Unreliability, @CNN.

LOL, @cnn scrutinize a @dnc candidate! I laughed so hard I peed a little
— LibsAreLooney (@AreLooney) December 28, 2019
Like that will happen
— Rod McCulloch (@ILPollster) December 28, 2019
Good thing to say but we all know that won’t happen.
— Pat H (@PatHarrigan1) December 28, 2019
and then you immediately laughed and corrected her, right?
— cowboyally (@cowboyally) December 28, 2019
Very funny. You work for @CNN.
That contradicts every aspect of @CNNs business model where 93% of stories involving @realDonaldTrump have a negative basis (13 of 14).

Meanwhile, CNN is re-running their hourlong Jake Tapper special on "All The President's Lies." https://t.co/rGuq3LKpWA
