We’re still trying to process how Gov. Ralph Northam is even in office, but that’s another story. Just days after Democrats seized control of both chambers of Virginia’s General Assembly, Northam told NPR that one of his top priorities would be passing gun control laws in the state.
And the New York Times reports that the governor hasn’t ruled out the confiscation of “assault weapons,” which we all know means popular semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15. (The wooden ones probably don’t count; they don’t look as scary.)

We don’t doubt that the state legislature is on board if he goes ahead with the plan, but as so many Democratic candidates for president failed to do, Northam has yet to explain exactly how he’ll go about confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens.
