We were wondering if any media outlets were going to pick up on the very disturbing story that Joaquin Castro, whose brother is running for president, was tweeting the names of San Antonians who’d donated to the Trump campaign: retirees, business owners, etc. The Daily Caller did a piece, as did we, but The Hill seems to be framing the whole thing as a “Republicans pounce” scenario.

Criticized for what again? Inviting harassment of private citizens but posting their names to Twitter? Yeah, that’s the story.
What is with this headline? The topic is about a sitting congressional member bullying constituents — private citizens — because they donated to the Trump campaign. This suggests that somehow he’s the victim here. Good grief. https://t.co/PsCngGmAwv

What a weak, pathetic tweet to describe what exactly @Castro4Congress stated within his tweet.
He knew what he was doing. It's shameful.

Maybe we can all bully The Hill into changing this ridiculous headline. Apparently the mob rules the news now. Oh wait, that only works for libs.

This is a more accurate headline. https://t.co/BQbS4tBngI

They know what they're doing; there are no neutral spectators in the media.

You see this and y’all want to be silent on red flag laws @DanCrenshawTX this is what the future looks like for gun owners

Do not forget back in 2013 when The Journal News published on its website an interactive map of gun permit holders in New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties.
They're ALWAYS the victim.

Turning this into a “Republicans pounce” headline is quite a feat.

It's doxxing, because it's only leftists who target their opponents in this manner. It's why I won't put stickers on my car: A lib would key your car over a Trump sticker, but very few conservatives would even think of doing the reverse.
— Erik Rush (@erikrush) August 6, 2019
Yeah, that's a real dick move. Why do it unless you are hoping someone will in some way retaliate?

This act alone should disqualify him for running any office.

well, he can add my name to his list by golly, I'll donate and be proud of it.

Joaquin Castro has just proven he is a thug, not a statesman #ActionsSpeakLouderThanWords
— Jim Brueckner (@RealGreyrider) August 6, 2019
He tweeted their name, city in which they live and where they work. Terrible headline.

So, who is fueling all of the division and hate? It ALL points back to the Democrats.
Remember, they have zero talking points for 2020.This is all going to backfire on them big-time. Their party is burning to the ground.
— Cody (@buzzman888) August 6, 2019
Castro was encouraging violence & hatred against private citizens who chose to donate to Trump. He deserves more than criticism for pulling this stunt. Castro should be hounded out of office for such rank bullying of the very citizens that he is supposed to be representing.
