As Twitchy reported earlier this week, CNN unveiled its latest poll in which Beto O’Rourke destroys President Donald Trump by a margin of 10 points in a hypothetical matchup. Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, both who have been leading in the polls, also defeat Trump, but only by 6 points each. Trump also loses to Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg in CNN’s poll, but he does manage to beat Elizabeth Warren by 1 point.
Obviously, O’Rourke is going to run with that poll — the Monmouth University poll released the week before had Joe Biden as the Democrats’ overall favorite at 27 percent; O’Rourke came in a just 4 percent, behind Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren.
You can’t blame the guy for pushing CNN’s poll; he’s proudly telling the little groups that come to see him speak that he’ll beat Trump by 10 points.
