A Jewish councilman in New York City has lost his seat on the city’s immigration committee after tweeting, “Palestine does not exist,” which has led Linda Sarsour to declare a new day in the city as “anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim comments” will not fly.
Breaking News: NYC Councilman Yeger gets kicked off of the Immigration Committee. No longer will anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim comments by elected officials go unchecked. It’s a new day. ??✊? https://t.co/tJ72ih5YTi

Mayor Bill de Blasio has chimed in, saying councilman Kalman Yeger should lose his committee seat if he doesn’t apologize.
Here’s Yeger Monday night, not sounding the least bit apologetic:
I respect the Speaker’s right to run the Council as he sees fit. It’s unfortunate that political correctness takes precedence over objective fact. Of course, there are Palestinians. However, the fact remains there is no Palestinian state.https://t.co/nRnIH3nk4u

There must be a Palestine because someone stuck a Post-it labeled “Palestine” on the map in Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s congressional office.
So a Jewish Councilman in NYC gets booted from a committee for stating indisputable facts, while @IlhanMN still sits on the Forign Affairs Committee after spewing vile and disgusting antisemitism not once, not twice, but multiple times. https://t.co/qHA3QGz0gL

This is a sad day for democracy, history, New York City, and the country.
But it’s a clear line drawn in the sand by @TheDemocrats signaling to Jewish Americans who won’t tolerate distortions of history or punishment for free speech that there’s only one way to vote in 2020! https://t.co/bWKtmUP3jL

I don’t get it. He said Palestine does not exist. It doesn’t yet exist as a state. Why is that controversial? If it exists, what is its capital? Is it a member at the UN? What are its borders? Why are the Palestinian people negotiating to form a state? This seems almost idiotic.

Now do @IlhanMN!!

More cheering antisemitic behavior…really, was the holocaust and death of millions not good enough for the left extremists?
— Jay Wright (@jaywright811) April 2, 2019
“Palestine” doesn’t exist. It’s completely made up.
— Eagle One ??? (@SeaEagleOne) April 2, 2019
Yeger's ousted? Who really just won by silencing free speech? The Sarsours' and Omars' historical revisionism conflicts with reality, and reality always wins. Educate yourselves please, Palestine never existed: https://t.co/B2OG5DEiHR

From what I have been observing, Muslim political influence in the U.S. is strongly authoritarian.

He's right, Palestine does not exist.
— Ari Bronstein (@AriBronstein) April 1, 2019
Palestine still doesn't exist though… what is its capital? what is their national anthem? What are its borders? Why are the Palestinian people negotiating to form a state?

And I hope Yeger sues for discrimination – which is what this is. Sarsour and her followers get to publicly hate Jews but Yeger calls out a historical fact and is removed.
I’m glad he didn’t apologize. He was factually correct.

Good. Double down on the facts.

Imagine being punished for daring to utter something everyone acknowledges is a fact?
Its Orwellian.
Its terrifying.— TheCoolJew.com (@TheCoolJew) April 2, 2019
It’s spreading.
