Sen. Ted Cruz, Dana Loesch dunk on San Antonio for banning Chick-fil-A from airport

As Twitchy reported last week, the San Antonio City Council voted 6-4 to approve its concession agreement with the San Antonio International Airport on the condition the agreement include an amendment specifically excluding Chick-fil-A from doing business at the airport.

“San Antonio is a city full of compassion, and we do not have room in our public facilities for a business with a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior,” City Councilman Roberto Treviño said in a statement.

It took a couple of days, but Sen. Ted Cruz weighed in on the decision to blacklist Chick-fil-A, which also got another scolding from HuffPost for its hateful charitable donations.

Cruz called the decision “ridiculous” and added the hashtag, #LeftistIntolerance.

U.S. News and World Report reported:

The company has long been under fire for its support of organizations that oppose gay marriage. The decision comes a day after Think Progress reported on Chick-fil-A’s newly-released 2017 tax filings, which show that the Chick-fil-A Foundation gave more than $1.8 million to three organizations with a record of anti-LGBTQ discrimination, an increase from the prior year. The donations include more than $1.6 million to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, $6,000 to the Paul Anderson Youth Home and $150,000 to the Salvation Army.

Yes, as HuffPost breathlessly reported, the Salvation Army is now considered an anti-LGBT hate group.

Dana Loesch piled on as well:

Remember the invisible force field Chick-fil-A put up to keep @GayPatriot out of its restaurant?

The whole Chick-fil-A “controversy” has to die, because there is no controversy. Don’t like it? Don’t eat there.

The boycott effort seems to be floundering, doesn’t it?

How many mayors of major cities have made it clear that Chick-fil-A isn’t welcome in their cities? Great business acumen, guys.
