Ah, what to say about Mayor Sadiq Khan, under whose leadership London briefly overtook New York City’s murder rate and who responded to a rash of knife crime by demanding that Internet giants like Google and YouTube toughen their guidelines and remove violent videos.
Not only that; Khan has also called for a ban on junk food advertisements on London buses and trains and, perhaps most importantly, called on Londoners to redress the gender imbalance among Wikipedia editors, whom he complained are almost entirely men.
We’ll admit this quote is being blown a little out of proportion, but in an interview with the London Evening Standard, Khan said that he didn’t think the next U.S. president had declared yet: “I think it’s not going to be Trump. It can’t be Trump. Jeez!”
