Here’s an idea we thought was too good to be true until we looked and saw the “verified” blue checkmark and realized Sen. Ted Cruz was serious.
Ted Cruz wants to pass 'El Chapo Act' to make notorious drug lord pay for border wall https://t.co/hDNM3y7HMR

Check it out; he’s even got an animated GIF ready to go:
It’s time to pass my EL CHAPO Act. I urge my Senate colleagues to take swift action on this crucial legislation. #SecureTheBorder –> https://t.co/SndC56CiYz pic.twitter.com/5LgBuBSE26

Even if billionaire drug runner El Chapo paid for every last cent of a border wall, the Democrats would still oppose it — walls are “an immorality” (Nancy Pelosi) and “end lives” (Beto O’Rourke) — but it would be fun to put this to a vote.
Texas senator Ted Cruz has an idea to fund President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall.
Just make Joaquín Guzmán Loera, also known as “El Chapo,” pay for the wall. Mexico’s most notorious drug lord was convicted Tuesday of running an industrial-scale smuggling operation that could put the 61-year-old escape artist behind bars for decades in a maximum-security U.S. prison.
Prosecutors are seeking $14 billion from “El Chapo,” which is more than double President Trump’s $5.7 billion wish list for the border wall.
Build the wall with Mexican drug money? Awesome!
YES PLEASE!

This almost makes way too much sense…

This is a no brainer. Do it.

Makes sense to me

Great idea and the names of all the people who have overdosed from his drugs should be put on the wall

Get it done

Pass it

I hope this passes with bipartisan support

Never.
The Democrats won’t give it to us so, sounds good to me!

This is the best idea yet!

Can't wait to hear the excuses about why they won't agree to do this and how it's somehow racist. #BorderSecurity #AmericaFirst

Do it before the Democrats take it for high speed rail to Europe or Hawaii.????
