As Twitchy reported, Roger Stone was arrested in the early morning hours on January 25, and CNN just happened to be there an hour ahead of time staking out Stone’s house with a camera truck to catch the whole thing on video. Reportedly there were more than two dozen members of law enforcement and some 17 vehicles on site to take Stone into custody.
Stone was released on bond, and he’s since released his own surveillance video of the arrest from his home’s security system. Sure, think whatever you like about Roger Stone, but seriously? Multiple FBI agents with semiautomatic rifles drawn at his front door? Seems a bit heavy-handed if you ask us.

This is how #Mueller treated a 66 yr old man and his 71 yr old wife for minor process crimes.
Roger told me the agents were professional and courteous, and seemed embarrassed that they were ordered to do this. pic.twitter.com/o4i5EjQ5sO

“seemed embarrassed” Yeah, whatever.
“I’m so embarrassed to have to do this… but I’ll strap my SIG Sauer 9 mm to my thigh, don my tactical protective ballistic glasses, shoulder my M4 carbine assault weapon and direct it chest level…”— Pete McSorley (@mcsorley_pete) February 8, 2019
Even Sen. Lindsey Graham wrote a letter to the FBI asking if the FBI’s tactics were warranted in this case.
Optics to justify a 25 billion dollar payrol disaster.

Obama literally weaponized our #DOJ and #FBI. Average Americans should be very afraid.

Anybody else remember when FBI agents wore suits and ties, not tactical gear and sporting beards like they just got off of the streets of Fallujah 10 years ago?

Did they lay down suppressing fire as well?

71 year old wife who is DEAF … yeah, nothing could have gone wrong. Wonder how many who entered, let alone where in on it knew?

Only makes him more famous and sympathetic and, if convicted of these silly charges, or even before any resolution, his pardon will be so much easier, politically, for the President.

This begs the question: Who gave the orders?

Looks like the raid on the Osama bin Laden compound.

Agents aren’t told how to execute a raid. Agents decide the tactics. It’s the fact that the Justice Department would apply for such a warrant. Call the guy in to your office. Should we be surprised though?

No helmets. They weren’t expecting shit. What a charade
— TwoInTheStove8008 (@BurnFF) February 8, 2019
The fact that they weren't wearing Kevlar helmets tells me they weren't really worried.

If this was a cartel raid you better believe those dudes are in cover and using munitions. Just shows they didn't see Stone as a real threat. This was a show.

As a retired agent, I'm embarrassed!

It's all such a sad sad joke. Once again a total waste of time and OUR money for nothing. Someday we will wake up and hopefully it's not to late.

You have no idea how much leftists are cheering this. They would love to do the same to all of us.
— Victor Tango Kilo (@GenghisKhet) February 8, 2019
Yes and of course @CNN somehow got a heads up that all of this was going down. And we wonder why Americans are so skeptical of the FBI and media news outlets.
— Jackson Smith (@jacksmith007) February 8, 2019
Nope, no heads up, it was just great work by CNN’s reporters that they knew to be there with cameras rolling.
