If a married gay man runs for president and no one knows who he is, is it really a big deal, CNN?

The thing is, if South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg wasn’t a gay man, CNN nor anyone else would have covered his announcement Wednesday that he’s running for president in 2020. But he is gay and he’s married, so his announcement in a field of 54 Democratic candidates, all with a better chance of winning, is “a big deal.”

So! What are his policies and stances to the issues? If some country or leader doesn’t respect him because of who he sleeps with or is married to, send a straight cabinet member as a liaison and keep it moving.

It’s a “big deal” because of the PC narrative behind that story. When I was 13, I was bitten by a rattlesnake on the edge of a tobacco field. It’s a miracle that I survived. If I decided to run for Prez, would I get “first snake attack survivor” praise from CNN? If not, why?
