Setting aside the fact that Netflix will literally green light anything (that Amy Schumer stand-up special is proof), we’re not surprised the online streaming service is serving up what will essentially be a reboot of “The Office,” but set in President Trump’s proposed Space Force. Pretty high-concept.
BOOM! Steve Carell and #TheOffice boss Greg Daniels are re-teaming for a Netflix space comedy called #SpaceForce, inspired by Trump’s order to establish a … space force. All the details: https://t.co/OajzNgo4cU pic.twitter.com/RmyxeG5hZ6

Steve Carell is set to star in a series called "Space Force." Netflix says the show will be a workplace comedy "centered around the people tasked with creating a sixth branch of the armed services" https://t.co/tENkCnhNnV pic.twitter.com/khOmsqAvRx

.@SteveCarell will star in a new workplace comedy series he co-created with #TheOffice’s Greg Daniels about the people tasked with creating a sixth branch of the armed services: the Space Force! pic.twitter.com/6GEFNgP18w

A video posted by Netflix appears to mock President Trump's plans: "The goal of the new branch is to 'defend satellites from attack' and 'perform other space-related tasks' or something. This is the story of the men and women who have to figure it out." https://t.co/QhJbgUAnDZ

The video appears to mock Trump’s plans? You don’t say! Will it become an all-time classic like “Lil’ Bush” and “That’s My Bush”?
Odd that no one ever did a TV show called, 'Cash For Clunkers.'
— Jim Wilke (@JimWilke) January 16, 2019
That is odd.
Epic trolling, Netflix.

Don’t let distract y’all that Netflix price went up
— SoV (@soversetile) January 16, 2019
This is why everybody's subscription went up $1-2? JFC!

Just good to know there probably wont be any liberal bias in this movie
— Jimmy Wang (@MSESPN69) January 16, 2019
I cant see any way in which this will be biased. None at all, clearly this is going to contain jokes towards both sides, while still holding no animosity towards either.
Definitely…

Space Force was suggested by Congress years ago. Nothing to do with Trump but dummies gotta dumb
— Pete (@rationalstoic) January 16, 2019
Yay more political crap on Netflix
— patrick walker (@patmanz28) January 16, 2019
That might be funny unless it’s just another vehicle to bash Trump.
— Thach Weave ?️? (@thatchweave) January 16, 2019
Boom! This will suck.
— Rob Solo (@robsolo) January 16, 2019
Netflix getting woke and about to go broke. Don’t these companies learn anything?
— M'Lissa Anderson (@blissfull8674) January 16, 2019
As stupid as the space force idea is. Really? Stay out of politics!!!! Just make more office episodes. Oh wait, you can’t. It’s not politically correct.
— Craig Nelson (@CraiScott) January 16, 2019
So basically it’s office space ?
— cali kal (@calikal1) January 16, 2019
Soooo…Office Space. pic.twitter.com/HDvqkBPkTO
— CeeCee (@ceg6) January 16, 2019
So like The Defense Department Office?
— Robert Northrop (@robertNorth14) January 16, 2019
And sadly it won't do well because people are tired of seeing politics being put into everything, especially people with TDS who can only concentrate on one thing. That's why @SarahKSilverman show was cancelled
— Brenden Dankenbring (@BDankenbring) January 16, 2019
We’d completely forgotten Netflix had given Sarah Silverman a show where she was going to travel the country with the aim “to unite a fractured United States.” Yeah, that worked. Sarah Silverman, you get a show! And Michelle Wolf, you get a show! And Chelsea Handler, you get a show! Every liberal comedian gets a show!
Hilarious. Some more anti-Trump political "humor". Hope it's every bit as funny as the new Murphy Brown or the neutered Conners
— Rick Crainium (@RickCrainium) January 16, 2019
It could be funny. An “Office”-type show about working at Solyndra and trying to sell solar panels could have been funny too — too bad no one thought of that.
