As Twitchy reported, the New York Times published an op-ed on the problem with (conservative) white women, like those who supported Justice Brett Kavanaugh or maybe even voted for Trump — you see, white women “benefit from patriarchy by trading on their whiteness to monopolize resources for mutual gain.”
The New York Times isn’t even the first to target white women — on her perpetual “What Happened” tour, Hillary Clinton blamed her loss on white women who didn’t vote for her, because their husbands, male bosses, and sons told them to vote for Trump, so they did.
This weekend, the Guardian’s Lucia Graves offered up a take very similar to the one published in the New York Times, struggling to explain white women and why they think and vote the way they do.
Surprised so many white women back Kavanaugh? You shouldn't be. White women have been voting their white husband's interests for as long as they've been votinghttps://t.co/nqf6jct5hm pic.twitter.com/956WmTGBxv

See? It’s their husbands that are the problem. Hillary was right.
Tldr white women are more likely to get and stay married, and to white men specifically (a conservative voting bloc privileged by the conservative values it votes to uphold). Post marriage these women stop associating with the fate of women as a group and associate with their men
— Lucia Graves (@lucia_graves) October 6, 2018
… perhaps they see a financial interest in doing so: White women in traditional marriages have historically been reliant on male breadwinners, and white men are still awarded the most $ for their time. By contrast, 80% of black moms are the family breadwinners.
— Lucia Graves (@lucia_graves) October 6, 2018
So … marriage is bad? Women lose the ability to think for themselves once they’re married and just do as their husbands tell them? The Guardian really ought to have put this on the front page, ’cause it’ll be big news to a lot of married men.

I’m single. I’m conservative. You couldn’t pay me to vote democrat again. I don’t need a man to tell me to vote you sexist clown.
— BeanFromPa ? (@BeanfromPa) October 8, 2018
Maybe they are smart enough, all on their own, to decide the democrats have become a blight on our freedom and constitution! Maybe, American women are not okay with murdering millions of babies for convenience.
Maybe you could stop being a sexist and give women more credit.

Stop making excuses. Just start winning and stop whining.

Of course people associate with the person they married over strangers that happen to share their gender. How is this even a question ?
— omniai (@omniai) October 8, 2018
This is called a solid marriage. And it’s *freaking fantastic*.

Loving their families and not hating the fact they were born white. Horrible.
— TCBnole (@TCBnole) October 8, 2018
This is super sexist. My wife's politics didn't change any more than mine did when we got married
That is to say, that we gained perspective, but didn't override or replace each others values
— MementoMāori ? (@MementoMaori) October 8, 2018
Hey Lucia, I'm a white woman married to a white man. I vote how I want to vote. My husband regularly asks me about political issues because I follow them more closely than he does because he has this thing called a job and I'm retired.
— Janice ???? (@jannyfayray) October 8, 2018
It amazes me at how many white women are writing about white women and our lifestyles. If having a husband who truly cares to protect and provide for his wife and family and not have to live off the government are such a bad thing thank God I'm not long for this world.

So the message here is “Abolish ❤️!”, “Abolish families ????!” Okay, stick with that message, I beg you…PUSH THAT NARRATIVE right up until November 6!!! #RedTsunami

Lucia wants to sexual freedom, and therefore wants the government to be her daddy and husband. In other words, she’s broken and wants everyone else to suffer with her.

The envy and bitterness is strong here.
— CS (@shelfside89) October 8, 2018
This is so ass backwards it's hard to know where to start.
1. Women value their families over other amorphous notions of tribe. This is how we are built.
2. It looks like Lucia is advocating for the destruction of family to be replaced by state power. https://t.co/TDMcQnWe1A— Mo Mo (@molratty) October 8, 2018
3. It doesn't occur to Lucia that men do the same thing?
4. I'd really like to see the studies she's relying on to argue that white women are mindless drones who follow to their husbands on politics.
5. This is some of the most sexist and racist BS going on right now.— Mo Mo (@molratty) October 8, 2018
6. This completely devalues women's freedom to choose what life they want and what they value.
7. This paints all white conservative men as masters of their wives. Prove it or shut up.— Mo Mo (@molratty) October 8, 2018
8. I have no interest in advancing Lucia's cause for women, which apparently involves divorcing your husband for the good of women everywhere. Does she not understand what one of the biggest causes of poverty is?
9. I don't need the state to be my husband, thanks.— Mo Mo (@molratty) October 8, 2018
9. I don't need anyone, man or woman, to tell me what to think. Fuck off.

Oh boy this takedown is brutal. I thought Lincoln made it illegal to own someone this hard

I associate with the long term interests of my family. That is the extent of my ever having associated with a group.

I vote the exact same way now as I did before I was married…however. I damn well please. This is such BS.

"privileged by the conservative values it votes to uphold"
Wait…so believing in conservative values like personal responsibility and family makes one a better person? Woah…woah…woah!! That can't be right. Living foolishly always wins.
— DeanLogic ♎ (@DeanLogic) October 8, 2018
marxists have to break down the family its one of their goals, replace with state
— Curtis Schirrmacher (@CurtisSchirrma1) October 8, 2018
It looks like she's advocating the destruction of the family because she is.
— Edward Ahlsen-Girard (@efagirard) October 8, 2018
This kind of BS article pops up every time the left loses on an issue they “feel” they should own and they “believe” all women should support. When they lose women’s support it must be because women are being victimized by their evil white husbands. No other possible answer.
