We’ve written about NBC News’ national security reporter Ken Dilanian a bunch of times, but never about national security because that doesn’t seem to interest him on social media.
Katie Pavlich recently called him out for getting his panties in a wad over President Trump’s decision to call on a Daily Caller reporter, and now the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel is also likely to be blocked now that she’s called him out over his bias:
Explain to me how this person counts as a "journalist" rather than an activist. I am an opinion writer–it is my job to provide commentary. I don't pretend to be neutral. But how does NBC justify this–from its "national security reporter"? Not even a pretense of objectivity. https://t.co/JVsYmiKoQJ

Strassel calling ‘em out. Love it.

Dilanian was adding his two cents to an NBC News story that really took off on social media Saturday: the White House had limited the scope of the FBI’s investigation into the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh and would not be looking into the claims of celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti’s client Julie Swetnik:
It’s not just that they aren’t allowed to investigate the third accuser’s claims. They also won’t look into his drinking at Yale or pull Mark Judge’s employment records or take other basic investigative steps, we are told. Unless something changes. https://t.co/QZBuulOm3Y

Why would Kavanaugh's activities at Yale have anything to do with the primary accusations made by Ford when they were both in high school?
And why is that the subject of your tweet when the article discusses the investigation of credible allegations?— Bill Rodgers (@brodgers01) September 30, 2018
Good question.
"According to all the journalists I follow there is a lot of outrage over the scope of the FBI investigation. Look for this story to be huge once more of us journalists spread it." pic.twitter.com/iZiVnFHgfe

Weird. It’s like journalists this entire time had no idea what the scope of the FBI’s abilities are and aren’t this entire time. https://t.co/agsD3Nhqwd

Or Ken is being dishonest.

You seem terribly upset by this, Mr. "Reporter" Man :/ https://t.co/NSH7hI59oe

Area Democrat very upset that the "time limited, scope limited" investigation that Flake asked for and received is indeed limited in time and scope.
I'm shocked! https://t.co/NmLzD1AR8Y
— Drew McCoy (@_Drew_McCoy_) September 30, 2018
? It seems there are a lot of experts on what the FBI should and should not do in their investigations now.

Isn't this exactly what Republicans have been saying about the FBI background check investigations the entire time? https://t.co/FGnxMdDaJL
— Stephen Gutowski (@StephenGutowski) September 30, 2018
Just a reminder:Dems were warned repeatedly that the FBI cannot conduct a criminal investigation and could only provide a supplemental background check. They didn’t care and demanded an FBI investigaion. Media/dems now shocked that the FBI isnt conducting a criminal investigation
— Alicia Smith (@Alicia_Smith19) September 29, 2018
I’m shocked that they’re “shocked." Not.

Kinda funny to watch people now sorting out how the government is organized,
including media who have hired way too many Millenials. Senate has broad and indepent investigatory power for a reason.— Telauges (@Telauges) September 29, 2018
The media know. The Dems know. But the next demand for delay will be because “the WH limited the scope of the investigation so nothing negative about BK would be found” and then their heads will explode that Avenatti’s client wasn’t included in the scope of the investigation.
— Lois Cayce (@LBC1983) September 29, 2018
Media willfully ignored any checking of facts about what the FBI can and can’t do. This would be the reason why. https://t.co/zeYk9C8cte
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) September 29, 2018
?Reading is fundamental. The SJC request to WH yesterday made clear supplemental investigation was limited to "current, credible accusations" to be concluded in one week or less. Cry me a river. ?
— Non-fat Latte Girl (@nflattegirl) September 30, 2018
Exactly what was suggested in the SJC, and the Democrats agreed to this.
You guys just can't help yourselves, can you? https://t.co/7Q3SRBVg6f
— Eric Spencer (@JustEric) September 29, 2018
Dems knew it, they just didn't want to alter their narrative because they were out of other options for delay.
— Natalie Malonis (@Natalie_Malonis) September 29, 2018
Drew McCoy called it:
Dems: We want an FBI investigation
GOP: They do interviews not investigations
Dems: We want an investigation
GOP: Fine
FBI: Here are our interviews
GOP: Are you happy now Democrats?
Dems: Those are just interviews!
GOP: We told you…
Dems: We want an investigation!
— Drew McCoy (@_Drew_McCoy_) September 28, 2018
Heres an idea. The SJC could have done an investigation but guess what the Dems wanted no part of it.
— Dominic DiMatteo (@DominicDimatte1) September 29, 2018
You actually think the third accuser's insane claims need investigating?
Is it that you really are THAT naive and stupid or is it just toeing the line of @NBCNews agenda?https://t.co/9JI7GGp37C
— BonkPolitics (@BonkPolitics) September 30, 2018
We should look into Swetnick's claims.
As an adult she participated in a known gang rape party of minors multiple times in which dozens of teenage boys raped a dozen teenage girls with dozens of witnesses and she never reported this to the police.
The police should investigate. https://t.co/mqRnIEysUn

At least Flake got a 60 Minutes appearance out of this.
