At last, CNN’s Oliver Darcy has finally blocked us — it was probably all of our posts on his heroic and tireless quest to ensure Alex Jones and only Alex Jones was banned from Twitter — but of course, we’re still keeping an eye on him as the one-time editor of TheBlaze becomes one with the CNN hive mind.
As Twitchy reported Wednesday, Darcy tweeted that it was “striking” how quickly the White House had politicized the murder of college student Mollie Tibbetts by an illegal alien after offering only “thoughts and prayers” in the immediate aftermath of the Parkland school shooting.
Also striking given how after mass shootings Republican lawmakers offer thoughts and prayers but caution against politicizing the tragedies. https://t.co/XZanh2RY1Q

Days later, Darcy still finds it “striking.”
It's striking to see Republicans use the death of Mollie Tibbetts to push immigration policy because after mass shootings they often attack those who politicize the deaths of innocents pic.twitter.com/mgy4g92Yc6
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) August 25, 2018
Yes, they actually used “Trump seizes.”
But speaking of politicizing the murder of Mollie Tibbetts by an illegal alien, when is CNN’s Jake Tapper going to host a town hall on illegal immigration? Because if we remember correctly, it was only three days after the Parkland shooting that CNN announced its town hall/show trial called, “Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action.” Why wait for the facts to come out about how the Broward County police dropped the ball, big time?
Honestly, we used to really admire Darcy’s reporting, but until CNN has a second town hall on the Parkland shooting knowing all that we know now, he and Chris Cuomo can just shut up about “hijacking grief.”
So you acknowledge that politicization after mass shooting occurs, that’s good.

Oliver doesn't see the contradiction in his tweet I guess, or worse, doesn't care.

Your network hosted a “townhall” so Democratic politicians could use the murder of children to deflect political blame and blame their failures on a Republican Senator and a gun rights organization https://t.co/jMW8UOiCQM

It’s shocking to see the other party play by your own rules

It's striking to see CNN use [insert Trump's latest announcement] to push CNN's agenda who politicize everything to fit their own narrative. #FAKENEWS

Key differences:
•Breaking immigration law isn't constitutionally protected, owning firearms is.
•Rs hold individual responsible, Ds hold object responsible.
•Ds want more gun control, wouldn't have prevented crime. Rs want immigration laws enforced, would've prevented crime. pic.twitter.com/uuU6KMeFlq— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) August 25, 2018

It was striking to see you allow people blame @DLoesch and members of the @NRA for the deaths of children and not call them on it.
Sit down. https://t.co/JsqVntPciB

Remember @davidhogg111 ? He literally is trying to make a political career out of the Parkland shootings. I guess he gave up on his career with CNN. You mean like that?

Yeah, because @CNN didn't try to exploit the Parkland killings, while demonizing @DLoesch, the #NRA and millions of other law abiding citizens. You're pathetic @oliverdarcy, just like the #FakeNews outlet you masquerade as a journalist for. https://t.co/SxtTdm57hQ

There was a school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas, only a month later … where was their town hall? Guess they didn’t have anti-NRA activist students like David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez ready to book.
It’s striking too that after a mass shooting outlets like @cnn organize town halls, push for gun control & have David Hogg on every other segment advancing that narrative but are crickets when an illegal immigrant murders a US citizen & hacks like you are indignant at that.
— St. Antonio of the Desert (@LoneStarTexian) August 25, 2018
It's not "pushing policy" – it's calling for enforcement of our current laws.
Pushing Policy was your staged Town Hall after Parkland, trying to forward anti-gun rights legislation. https://t.co/NAUtPOqXov— Brad Slager – Ano de Cinema Mal ? ??? (@MartiniShark) August 25, 2018
It’s because the guy was illegal. Shouldn’t have been in the country to begin with. It’s not immigration reform they’re pushing; they’re pushing for the enforcement of current laws regarding illegal immigration. Stop conflating the two.
— Dan (@danwvette) August 25, 2018
Politicising the deaths of innocents after mass shootings is an attack on the 2a. Calling for tougher action after the death of Tibbets is not an attack on laws, rather it’s a plea to uphold the rule of law. You’re conflating two very different reactions. Very stupid.
— Hitesh Punja ????????? (@TeshPunja) August 25, 2018
One is a 2nd Amendment debate. Americans have a right to bear arms. Illegal immigrants have no right to be in our country. Even if only 5% of illegals in our country are criminals that is approx. 550.000. Is that acceptable to you?
— KimmieH (@kimhr1961) August 25, 2018
Someone explain to this doofus that liberals IMMEDIATELY clamor for gun control for legal gun owners for any mass shooting w/o knowing any facts of the case. With Mollie Tibbetts, we KNOW she was killed by an illegal immigrant who HAD NO RIGHT TO BE HERE in the first place.
— Michael (@Michael2014abc) August 25, 2018
It’s possible Mollie’s murder was preventable, had we enforced our border. This is not “opinion.” Denying this fact to serve your narrative is shameful. https://t.co/8uvS1fW9G7

It only took three days for CNN to plan its town hall after the Parkland shooting … when’s the town hall on illegal immigration? Or is CNN just going to offer thoughts and prayers to Mollie Tibbets’ family?
