New York Times, AP want to scour Brett Kavanaugh's wife's emails for words like "gay" and "abortion"

As Twitchy reported, Democrats like Sen. Kamala Harris are accusing Senate Republicans of “withholding vital documents” from Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s career. “What do they have to hide?” Harris asks, knowing full well she’s going to oppose Kavanaugh’s confirmation regardless.

While Democrats wait for those vital documents to be produced, the media is already doing some of the Democrats’ dirty work by trying to dig up dirt on Kavanaugh through his wife’s emails sent as a local town manager.

It’s all above-board, though, because as a town manager she’s a public official, so her emails are fair game.

Jack Crowe reports:

The New York Times and the Associated Press have filed public-records requests for emails sent by the wife of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during her tenure as a local town manager.

The Maryland public-records request, obtained by the conservative political-advocacy group America Rising Squared, specifically seeks emails sent or received by Ashley Kavanaugh containing politically charged words such as “gun,” “abortion,” and “gay,” among others.

Mrs. Kavanaugh, who previously served as the personal secretary to George W. Bush, is currently the Chevy Chase, Md. Section 5 town manager.

Again, these aren’t even the documents the Democrats are looking to be released; these are mainstream media outlets trying to dig up controversial emails from Kavanaugh’s wife.

Yeah, good times.
