As Twitchy reported, designer Kate Spade, 55, was found dead in her apartment Tuesday of an apparent suicide.
Ivanka Trump, who was called a “feckless c**t” by TV host Samantha Bee, responded with a tweet urging anyone contemplating suicide to seek help:
Kate Spade’s tragic passing is a painful reminder that we never truly know another’s pain or the burden they carry. If you are struggling with depression and contemplating suicide, please, please seek help. https://t.co/eruSexNoGj

Who could possibly find fault with a tweet urging those struggling with depression to seek help? Comedian Kathy Griffin for one:
You're all talk feckless, you're all talk. https://t.co/TksB1wbFbK

What's she supposed to do, jump in a time machine and stop Kate Spade from killing herself? https://t.co/OsbbHy9XXV

See, even when someone says the right, compassionate thing we still have to take pot shots. Adults should start acting like adults. https://t.co/jMervFwYVl

⬇️⬇️ This is not a healthy response to give to someone talking about suicide prevention. ⬇️⬇️ https://t.co/xCPmweYfjD

@kathygriffin this wasn't the time, nor the place for your political agenda. If someone is offering suicide prevention info & a reminder we ALL have burdens, just move along if you can't be kind https://t.co/zM9zNLCSfN

Update:
Kathy Griffin has explained the thinking behind her tweet:
"Speaking out" against someone for offering condolences? What is wrong with you?
— Debra Heine (@NiceDeb) June 6, 2018
No @NiceDeb I was speaking out against Feckless’ hypocrisy. She talked about suicide prevention with respect to Kate Spade and meanwhile the Trump administration has made massive cuts to mental healthcare. https://t.co/NmuKmdnUOL
— Kathy Griffin (@kathygriffin) June 6, 2018
Oh, so that’s why you’d slam Ivanka Trump for pointing people in crisis to a toll-free helpline … the hypocrisy.
