As Twitchy reported earlier, former FBI director James Comey appeared with Jake Tapper on “The Lead” Thursday afternoon to promote his new book, “A Higher Loyalty,” and he dropped some non-bombshells: he doesn’t dislike Trump, he feels he was legitimately elected, and won’t speculate if the country would be better with Hillary Clinton as president.
Ari Fleisher summed up the interview this way:
I’ve never seen a book tour backfire like this. Comey is coming across terribly on @jaketapper I wonder if he’ll keep doing media. He’s only hurting himself.

Did Tapper feel that Comey came across terribly? Of course he’s not going to say that, but he did have on a panel to discuss if the book tour so far is ruining Comey’s credibility:
