As Twitchy reported, the #ImWithHer faction of Twitter piled on New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman pretty hard Tuesday when she tweeted that the folks involved in funding the infamous Trump dossier lied about it for a year … something about that word “lied” really triggered them.
Hillary fans really aren’t liking talk about collusion with Russia anymore, now that it’s been confirmed that a lawyer for Hillary for America and the DNC funded the “research” that would lead to the creation of that dossier.
Of course, Hillary had no idea any of this was going on (cue shoulder-shrug from the orange pantsuit “with a cloth?” press conference). But CNN reported Tuesday that both campaign chairman John Podesta and former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz have denied knowing anything about payments.

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski questioning who authorized the payments was almost enough to trigger a pile-on of Haberman-sized proportions.

President Hillary Clinton? Don’t tell Rep. John Lewis … he doesn’t know.

None of the reporters pushing this whole story can articulate why it is actually at all important, even more so given what we already knew. https://t.co/jgVrua7OEW

Ok dufus, I admit it, I paid for the Steele dossier. Does that mean the info is more or less credible?
— Gary Parsons (@SF_Gary_) October 26, 2017
It couldn’t be less credible — but was it used to OK surveillance of the Trump campaign? That’s a pretty big deal.
I'm unfollowing you because any journalist who thinks THAT is a vitally important thing 2 focus on right now is not a very good at their job

If I may summarize comments here … Why are you spending time on this nothingburger? Ordinary stuff. Not "strange" or suspicious.

A legitimate answer, although not one we’re quite willing to accept:
According to @washingtonpost’s original story, Elias paid for it but did not inform HFA and DNC. https://t.co/qlw2DEBJKt pic.twitter.com/hqwPDa9ZdR

So he had the right to authorize payments over $5,000 without a co-signer? Betcha he did not. https://t.co/1H9qRQYclC

So, nobody knew, and nobody authorized it? One attorney went rogue?
