Sen. Bernie Sanders, the socialist from Vermont who ran for president as a Democrat in 2016, is on the road with the new chair of the Democratic Party, Tom Perez, in what the two are calling the “Come Together and Fight Back” tour.
As many in the media have noted, the two might be on the same stage, but the coming together part is proving problematic, with Sanders, by far the more popular draw on the ticket, making it clear to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes during a joint interview Tuesday, “I am an independent.”
After Sanders was kneecapped by the previous Democrat party chair in favor of Hillary Clinton, it’s no surprise that the Democrats would really, really like Sanders’ devotees back on board. Sanders doesn’t seem to care one way or another, though, telling a cheering audience in Miami Wednesday night that Trump didn’t win; Democrats lost.
They might be a bunch of losers, but Sanders needs somebody to hang around with.
.@BernieSanders in Miami: "@realDonaldTrump did not win the election. The Democrats lost the election."

That's a pretty meaningless statement. It sounds clever. It's not. #failingpresident

Can someone, anyone get ego tripping @SenSanders to shut the ever loving F up? I mean, he's not a Democrat. Spends time demeaning Ds & HRC.

He does know he’s currently on the “Come Together, Fight Back” tour, right? Or maybe in his mind he’s still standing chest deep in that tub of Ben & Jerry’s.
"This might offend some people here, but I believe it's true. Donald Trump did not win the election. The Democrats lost it."

Republicans stole the election from HRC, the same way HRC stole the Democratic primary from Bernie. What goes around comes around, it seems
