Not that Rep. Ted Lieu would be one to spout off against the administration without airtight proof, but …
Dear @POTUS: You are right that Obama officials spied on your team. B/c there was PROBABLE CAUSE AGENTS OF A FOREIGN POWER WERE ON YOUR TEAM https://t.co/ri4bQ4jDdB

It was the Washington Post that dropped Tuesday night’s big bombshell, and if reports attributed to unnamed U.S. officials are your thing, consider the ground shaken. In short, the paper reported that last summer, the FBI and the Justice Department obtained a FISA warrant to former Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page.

SooperMexican at the Right Scoop gave what might be the best take of all on the revelation: the resistance is jazzed because it’s becoming ever more clear that the Trump campaign did collude with Russia, and that elusive proof is just within reach; and Trump supporters are claiming victory because they can say that Trump was right all along about being surveilled by the Obama administration.

This is pretty extraordinary. The bar for FISA targeting of a US person is SUPPOSED to be quite high. https://t.co/KsahcuFMS3

I know we're all jaded, but the FBI thought a Trump adviser was acting as an agent for the Russian government. That's not a small thing.

As with every single bombshell up to this point in the Trump administration, though, there’s some fine print: “Page has not been accused of any crimes, and it is unclear whether the Justice Department might later seek charges against him or others in connection with Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.” So …

Now that would be a bombshell. For tonight, at least, just the suggestion that Page was deemed worthy of monitoring has some dreaming of that election do-over that isn’t going to happen, ever. At the very least, Rep. Maxine Waters and crew want Sean Spicer and his slip-up/denial of the Holocaust off the front page.

Warrant on Carter Page shows we no longer have smoke. We have extreme heat. Acting Atty General must appoint a Special Prosecutor NOW. https://t.co/tnFbFn9OWy

My president fired $80m of missiles to change the narrative and all I got was Carter Page trending.

Stop tweeting about Spicer, start tweeting about Carter Page. Thanks in advance.

Or, was the Obama administration using a flimsy case against Carter Page in order to monitor the Trump campaign?

Some might call us fake news, but it would give us a break if players like the Washington Post could ease up on the bombshells.
Carter Page has the greatest odds of being tragically crushed beneath a piano at the bottom of a stairwell than anyone in earth right now
