They waited long enough to make it look like a serious challenge, but the news networks finally called New York for Hillary Clinton about 40 minutes after the polls closed in the state.
ABC, Fox, NBC all project Clinton as the winner of the New York Democratic primary

Four news networks have called New York for Hillary Clinton. CNN and AP the only holdouts at this point.

With 55 pct reporting, a 60 – 41 lead by Clinton is much bigger than expected if it holds https://t.co/swIQytADOc

Nothing is really happening in NY that wasn't expected or factored in. Same for 4/26. GOP race/convention *still* comes down to May/June.
— David M. Drucker (@DavidMDrucker) April 20, 2016
CNN should light the Empire State for the Republican winner and the Chrysler building for the Dems and then have the two buildings fight.

Speaking of, has anyone seen Bernie Sanders?
Sanders left his entire traveling press behind in State College PA and flew back to Burlington. Will gaggle with locals only.
— Beth Fouhy (@bfouhy) April 20, 2016
make no mistake – Bernie wanted and needed to win in NY
— Rick Klein (@rickklein) April 20, 2016
His supporters really wanted him to win as well; expect plenty of talk about voter suppression over the next day or two despite Clinton’s wide margin of victory.

Chin up, #FeeltheBERN: HRC is a right-wing representative of Wall St, the military-industrial complex & the top 1%. Tonight changes nothing.

Tonight's New York primary was not a win for Hillary, at least not one to be proud of! #feelthebern #neverhillary #NYprimary

Hearing Berners who have been wronged crying on the phone because their vote was discounted is heartbreaking. #FeelTheBern #NYPrimary

As a tutor, I'm literally begging @BernieSanders to stay in so I can stop myself from crying. If you could hear their voices… #FeelTheBern

#FeelTheBern Bernie won 8 of the last 10 primary contests. The desperation coming from the Hillary side after 1 win is something to behold!

This campaign isn't about @HillaryClinton. It's not about @BernieSanders. It's about us. And we are not leaving. #FeelTheBern

What’s downright surreal is how the New York primary can be summed up in one photo.
