'Colorado Votes Matter' organizes protest; Reince Priebus says 'nothing mysterious' happened

Matt Drudge had a fit over Ted Cruz being awarded all of Colorado’s GOP delegates this weekend without a primary or a caucus, asking on Twitter if George Bush would have to “invade Colorado to make it a democracy.”

That level of outrage was hard to come by online, as many placed the blame squarely on Donald Trump for not knowing the rules, which Colorado put in place last August.

National GOP chair Reince Priebus ‏noted Monday night that there was nothing new or mysterious about Colorado’s awarding of delegates.

That didn’t stop someone from registering the domain coloradovotesmatter.org on Monday in order to announce a protest at Colorado’s GOP headquarters Friday afternoon:

The Colorado Republican Party shamefully silenced its voters this election season. We demand that Colorado give the power to vote in the Presidential Primary to the voters. We will exercise our right to assemble and peacefully protest the corruption of the Colorado GOP and disenfranchisement that we the voters have suffered.

How many people will show up to protest nearly a week after delegates were awarded remains to be seen, but it’s clear many are unhappy with the process and aren’t letting go.
