If 2nd place holds – @JohnKasich has big opportunity for re-set when he speaks tonight. Should be quite a contrast vs. @realDonaldTrump

New Hampshire Republicans' two messages:

Anger comes in first with #Trump.

But the most moderate & conciliatory candidate, #Kasich, is #2.

Kasich's timing has been great. Did just enough to get onto Cleveland stage for 1st debate. Now just enough to keep candidacy alive tonight.

Kasich’s a big story tonight. An afterthought nationally, he ran a pitch-perfect, old-fashioned NH campaign, and his closing optimism took.

An impressive feat for Kasich. But hard to imagine a state better tailored to him. Including OH.

If Kasich ends up 2d, as now seems probable, where does he go now to find a state that fits his profile? He's a part-time conservative.

Kasich should pick up some armor on his way to South Carolina because the Bush and Rubio super PACs are likely to drop some bombs.

Here's our cue that @JohnKasich coming out soon. Supporters crowding the stage. @NECN pic.twitter.com/jThuW0Id48

After crowd chants “KASICH KASICH” a bunch and he doesn’t walk out, Gordon Humphrey says: "Okay, that didn’t work"

— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) February 10, 2016

Crowd had been primed for Kasich to come out, but now Sanders is speaking so they’re stalling

— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) February 10, 2016

Sanders is the one stalling … he’s only just gotten to the climate change part of his stump speech.

Meanwhile, at Ben Carson’s party:
