President Obama to visit Baltimore mosque, celebrate contributions of Muslim Americans

President Obama — who directed his attorney general to pursue The Little Sisters of the Poor all the way to the Supreme Court to force them to provide abortion-inducing drugs as an Obamacare health benefit — will visit a mosque next week in part to stress the importance of religious freedom in the United States of America.

Um, hello? The invention of the digital clock?

Ignorance like that is why it’s so important that the president make this visit.

Vox is probably working on one now so Valerie Jarrett will have time to approve it.

Rep. Keith Ellison, the only Muslim in the House of Representatives, is both #FeelingTheBern and cheering on President Obama.

The Washington Post reports that the president is making the visit “to celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to our nation and reaffirm the importance of religious freedom to our way of life,” according to a White House email Saturday.

The email adds that the president believes the mosque visit will help demonstrate that “one of our nation’s greatest strengths is our rich diversity and the very idea that Americans of different faiths and backgrounds can thrive together – that we’re all part of the same American family.”

We’re hoping the event breaks out in a drum circle like the Muslim Women’s Solidarity Event in San Diego, or at the very least that Vice President Joe Biden again declares his award-winning “absolute commitment” to the freedom of religion.

Oh, them? Back to the Supreme Court Oct. 30 to appeal their case at the risk of being fined out of existence.
