Wyoming Highway Patrol: Keep your legally purchased pot in Colorado

As Twitchy reported, people in Colorado were lining up to buy recreational marijuana on Jan. 1, or “Green Wednesday.” Out-of-staters were in line to buy pot as well, but the Wyoming Highway Patrol is reminding them not to bring their new purchase across state lines.

A lengthy Facebook post gives an overview of Wyoming’s laws, but the bottom line is this: “any amount of marijuana in either dried or in plant form in the State of Wyoming is illegal to possess.” Got it?

That all-caps tweet from Wyoming is really harshing people’s mellow.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says that troopers did see a slight increase in misdemeanor violations near the state border when Colorado legalized medical marijuana.
