Though the president has blamed the glitches that plague HealthCare.gov on overwhelming public demand, the administration has been awfully shy about sharing the actual number of people who’ve signed up for health insurance through the site. CNN called around and learned that 52,000 had started the signup process, whatever that means.
It was Treasury Secretary Jack Lew’s turn on the Sunday shows this morning, and Lew was just too humble to give America the actual number of signups, or even a rough estimate. The White House hasn’t hesitated to trumpet the number of hits on the site, which number in the millions.
Here’s video of Fox News’ Chris Wallace trying to get a number from Lew (jump ahead to 10:15 if necessary). An estimate maybe? Ball park figure? Wild guess? Flat-out lie? Nope.
Wow, Jack Lew refused to answer how many people actually signed up for #ObamaCare. @FoxNewsSunday

Jack Lew at a complete loss of words @FoxNewsSunday. #incompetence comes to mind. Vote all Democrats out in #2014
