Did someone call for backup? Jim Carrey might have come out against those gun-loving “heartless motherf*ckers” with both barrels, but he wasn’t quite prepared for the recoil. A week’s worth of backlash culminated in a veiled legal threat against Fox News for slander and a self-pitying article in the Huffington Post decrying the “hatred” heaped upon him by bitter clingers who didn’t find the suggestion that they weren’t worth protecting all that funny.
Maybe his approach was all wrong. Comedian Richard Lewis has stepped into the debate tonight to completely mischaracterize the Second Amendment. It’s “cool” and all, but …
