Quite a few tweeters were surprised to find themselves part of history as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz began reading #StandWithRand tweets on the Senate floor to extend Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster Wednesday. Those tweeters will find themselves in the Congressional Record alongside rapper Wiz Khalifa, who was name-checked by Sen. Marco Rubio well into the 13-hour marathon.
So, has this moment in the political spotlight had any effect on Wiz Khalifa? We checked in with the “modern-day poet’s” Twitter feed this week to find out, but we didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Here’s a sample: in any case, the sequestration hasn’t had an immediate effect on his stash.
