'American Sniper' Chris Kyle reported murdered at Texas shooting lodge

Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, recognized as the most lethal sniper in United States military history, was shot and killed at a charity event tonight in Texas.

WFAA reports:

Two people were killed Saturday at a resort in Erath County, according to an alert from the sheriff’s office.

One of the victims at the Rough Creek Lodge near Glen Rose was a Navy Seal sniper, according to the alert.

A warning was issued for the suspect, who was believed to be driving a black Ford F-350 truck with large tires and rims.

The suspect was believed to be highly trained with military experience.

A suspect is reported to be in custody.

Chris Kyle and another man were found dead at Rough Creek’s shooting range between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Sheriff Tommy Bryant.

Eddie Ray Routh was arrested just before 9 p.m. Friday in Lancaster.

Investigators would not release additional information about the case or comment on how Routh may have been connected to Kyle.

The name of the second victim has also not been released.
