Huffington Post's Sam Stein on John Kerry confirmation: 'What up swift boaters!'

For the record, the official headline over at the Huffington Post announcing Sen. John Kerry’s confirmation as Secretary of State is simply, “John Kerry Confirmed As Secretary Of State.” That’s doesn’t quite convey the same excitement as the tweet by HuffPo’s political editor and White House correspondent Sam Stein: “WHAT UP SWIFT BOATERS!”

Voting is the best revenge, isn’t it? Not that the media were rooting for Kerry, that is. But we suppose if you’ve been waiting since 2004 for your chance to recycle some old material, all caps is the way to go.

NBC News’ Luke Russert calls Kerry’s career “quite the journey,” and even includes an anecdote on the subway portion of Kerry’s trek.
