Did NBC really not show a full race? #REALLYNBCREALLY?

Did @NBC seriously just do a, "right after this…" in the MIDDLE of a swim race?!?

Holy shit did NBC seriously just cut to commercial in the middle of the tape delayed 800m free? #ugh #nbcfail
— ZDT (@mcsoxerhoff) August 4, 2012
Wait. Did @NBC just go to commercial mid-race? Really? It's an 8 minute race, and we can't see all of it? #NBCFail

Why did NBC just cut to a commercial break seconds before the end of a swimming race that the USA was about to break the world record in…?
— nucci (@Nucccci) August 4, 2012
Did NBC just cut away from a race because the winner was obvious? An American shatters a world record and we don’t even see the whole race?

In fact, so many people were asking the same question that “Did NBC” became a trending topic. Did they? Yes, yes they did.
