Good to his word, Elon Musk welcomes back Ligma and Johnson to Twitter

Layoffs at Twitter were supposed to be a big news story; Reuters had even set up a live video feed outside of Twitter headquarters so people could watch all of the poor ex-employees walking out … apparently not knowing that employees had been told not to come in that day. CNBC had a reporter on the ground who interviewed two former employees holding cardboard boxes of their belongings. She said they were a couple of “visibly shaken” data engineers named Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson. Johnson said he owned a Telsa and how no idea how he was going to make the payments.

It turns out that Ligma and Johnson were just trolling the media, and Elon Musk called it “one of the best trolls” of the media ever.

After Musk fired an employee in real-time for trying to embarrass him on Twitter, some asked if Ligma and Johnson would be welcomed back. And indeed they were.

Yes, they let him go too.

Musk might have an infantile sense of humor, but 1) he has a sense of humor, and 2) he’s declared that “comedy is now legal on Twitter.”
