As we mentioned before, the New York Times has published a really, really long piece on the “two weeks of chaos” since Elon Musk was handed the keys to Twitter. Musk said he planned to lay off as much as half of the company, and he dogged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to pony up $8 a month for her blue checkmark. Promoting Twitter Blue … what’s he trying to do, turn a profit?
Last month we were treated to a look inside Twitter headquarters; you get a view of the mediation room, the yoga studio, and the cafeteria, but stay until the end to see the red wine on tap.
This is “a day in the life of a Twitter employee.” No wonder @elonmusk is firing 75% of them pic.twitter.com/cAHOuni765

The Times article revealed that employees will now be expected to buy their own lunches:
“Mr. Musk plans to begin making employees pay for lunch — which had been free — at the company cafeteria” https://t.co/7RagEeYCoP

He fired 3/4 of the employees. Now he’s planning to starve the rest of them. He’s failure incarnate. pic.twitter.com/elL8N3D2CB

We love anyone with the word “Resists” in their handle. And yeah, SpaceX, Tesla … what a failure.
They should bring their own lunch. That's how businesses are conducted.
— Eddy L. Tankersley (@edtank57) November 12, 2022
No, they shouldn’t. And no, they aren’t. If your company provides free lunches for employees for 10 years, it shouldn’t suddenly stop because a new cheap POS who hates people and is a terrible human just took over.

For the “I bring my own lunch” crowd, that’s a shame but not relevant. Twitter was a company that provided lunch for its employees for free for ten years and has now abruptly stopped because it’s CEO is a cheap pile of garbage.

LMAO

LOL, I’m definitely not a fan of Musk, but not sure this is the flex that you think it is. Oh my God, people actually have to buy their own lunch? Adults even? Wow…. Who would’ve ever thought that could happen in America? 😏🤣
— Jeff Walton (@jeffkwalton) November 12, 2022
The fact that you think choosing to try to make a business successful instead of wasting money on a mostly useless woke workforce is "failure incarnate" says a lot about how you view the world.

Lol, 🤡

“Starve” LOL
— Jeff Vee (@Acuda4me) November 12, 2022
Tell me more about this starving.
— Neal (@theycallmeneal) November 12, 2022
They make enough money that they can buy their own lunch.

Or they either bring their own lunch, or zip out to Del Taco or Panda Express.
You know, like just about every other worker in America does.

Twitter pays an average salary of $146,546 per year, which is $70.45 an hour. Twitter pays the bottom 10% $106,000 a year, and the top 10% over $201,000. …How will these people ever survive without the free lunches?!
— Gringo Loco’s (@JamesGringoloco) November 12, 2022
Right? Just brown bag it from home.
— Basslady Donna (@Pinkhairbassist) November 12, 2022
This is hilarious.

After making them pay for commuting to an office every day.
— flyover country (@flyovercountr15) November 12, 2022
Yeah, being called back into the office was a major blow. Doesn’t he know how expensive it is to commute?
Welcome to the reality of the rest of the workforce.

Now the remaining employees will have to relearn how to make a sandwich. Just remember that the bread goes on the outside
— Tom (@Syloustr) November 12, 2022
Only place that ever feed me while working was the Navy. 🤣😂🤣

It’s amazing that this is a scandal. First, a congresswoman who makes $174,000 a year crying over $8 a month, and now this.

Editor’s Note: Republican voters deserve answers and accountability for the failed red wave.
