MSNBC prefaces her tweet with “Holy moly” so she must be super surprised to learn that independents and even some Democrats would be open to voting for candidates who questioned the 2020 election … because they’re focused on economic issues and not January 6. Plenty of polls have said it’s the economy, stupid, but as we know, liberals like Dan Rather think “a major theme of campaign coverage” should be “the threat to American democracy.” People like him have set up this infantile false dichotomy of voting Democrat and saving democracy or voting Republican and watching America descend into fascism. Chicken Little just isn’t selling this year.
Holy moly siena/NYT poll “more than a third of independent voters and a smaller but noteworthy contingent of Democrats said they were open to supporting candidates who reject the legitimacy of the 2020 election…” as they focus on economic issues

Everyone is posting this in reply, so here it is, again:
Here’s ten minutes of every prominent Democrat denying Donald Trump won the presidential election in 2016. These same people now tell us questioning the result of a presidential election is a direct threat to our democracy. pic.twitter.com/h428LRT8Tq

Imagine being shocked people would prioritize feeding their families over election denier nonsense. Especially given the roughly 300 examples I can give of liberals denying election results. Not only is it amazing, this out of touch idiocy is why they’re about to take a beating https://t.co/dS7LFKGNsb

Duh. Because guess what? Nothing else matters when your economy is in the tank. People can barely afford to make ends meet. They don’t give a crap about election deniers (btw it was stolen) they want a better quality of life and that starts in your pocketbook. https://t.co/osjNxJFYyT

It’s like they all think pretending 2016 didn’t happen will actually erase it from history https://t.co/ZEnZ3OTLmv

Just like you were forgiven for rejecting the legitimacy of 2000, 2004, and 2016.

It’s awfully hard to pretend to give 2 shits about the 2020 election when you’re wondering how you’re going to make ends meet in Joe Biden’s economy https://t.co/zyTj7MewMa

Dems really destroyed their own ability to attack “election deniers…” by funding their campaigns.
If Democrat campaigns weren’t afraid of putting them one election night away from elected office why should normal voters be concerned? https://t.co/Xr89bdvOux

🚨Elitist neoliberal realizing the BS they spew about the “historic” economic recovery falls on deaf ears from the struggling masses working 2-3 jobs who don’t have the luxury of preening over our so-called democracy https://t.co/IegqwQ1kza

You're a big reason for why an already eroding trust in the government-media monolith met its early demise by impaling itself on the jagged edges of the job you did as press secretary.
So thank you. https://t.co/cXq8Eil9s2— Rising serpent 🇺🇸 (@rising_serpent) October 18, 2022
Surprised?
People can LARP “defending democracy” on Twitter all day but they have to actually live in Biden’s failing economy. Which is getting harder by the day. https://t.co/nRhFZn4dHO

Apparently a third of independent voters read that Time magazine piece where all those leftist NGOs bragged about how they 'fortified' the election.
It's not a conspiracy when the conspirators admit to it. https://t.co/aF0D4HBoHM

Yes, Jen. People are more concerned about putting food on the table than 1/6. I’m sorry that shocks you. Not everyone lives in a 2 million dollar home and makes $200k/year. Some of us are affected by the decisions of your former boss. https://t.co/jR1PzpkjoF

Holy moly, you’ve got a big job ahead of you trying to convince MSNBC viewers that the economy’s great and inflation is transitory.
