We wrote about Rep. Jamie Raskin earlier today; Raskin was a guest on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” over the weekend and explained that the “extreme MAGA” movement shows all the hallmarks of fascism, which include not accepting the results of elections that don’t go their way and embracing political violence. As we mentioned earlier, RNC Research fought back with a video from 2003 in which Raskin refused to accept the result of the 2000 election.

Rep. Jamie Raskin to CBS: "Two of the hallmarks of a fascist political party are, one, they don't accept the results of elections that don't go their way. And two, they embrace political violence."

We bring this up all of the time but no one in the mainstream media seems to care to point it out — Raskin, who sits on the January 6 select committee, also objected to the certification of electoral votes for Donald Trump in 2017.

Here’s video … and ironically, it was Vice President Joe Biden who shot him down.

Democrats also refused to accept the results of the 2004 election, claiming the Diebold voting machines were rigged. But the Republicans who objected to the awarding of Biden’s electoral votes in 2020 are now smeared as “insurrectionists,” no better than the rioters at the Capitol.

Oh, and as far as embracing political violence, you didn’t hear much objection to the rioting that took place after Hillary Clinton lost the election and again at Trump’s inauguration:
The DC government ended up paying $1.6 million to the people arrested for attacking Trump's inauguration.
Read that again, not a typo. The ACLU was involved of course https://t.co/4QzeJAEx5r

GorT: these people are oblivious to reality. Dems have been fighting national elections since "the hanging chad", they were relatively quiet on the riots in various cities over the last several years because "people expressing themselves", and even some encouraged it. https://t.co/kcbF1M2fw8

“Rioting is the voice of the unheard.”
One fricking riot by the right. The left have shot at Congressman, threatened a SCOTUS and rioted nightly for a year.
It’s absolutely amazing how the press pushes that the right is violent.
You’ve actually never seen a violent right. https://t.co/1tZqvHYaXF— GOPPouncer (@Mellecon) September 5, 2022
Jamie Raskin voted not to count the electors in 2016. He is not a serious person. https://t.co/GhrzVjkR0J

1) The Democrats didn’t accept the results of the 2000 and 2016 elections. Many even contested 2004.
2) Attempts on Bret Kavanaugh’s life; the shooting of a GOP rep at the congressional baseball game by a far left crazy person; the entirety of summer 2020. https://t.co/uhnUqXJH6Y

The guy who literally has been going after Trump ever since he created his account on Twitter 5 years ago, joined up with the second Impeachment, *and* is a part of the Jan. 6 Committee
calls Republicans and by extension Trump "facist" and support violence. https://t.co/ctxHYm7I2Y

NARRATOR: Jamie Raskin said the election in 2000 was stolen and tried to overturn the 2016 election.

Raskin really needs to learn how to accept election results he doesn’t like.
