ShutDownDC promises to "disrupt" the congressional baseball game

We’ve been writing a lot about ShutDownDC recently. This is the group that is still very proud to have disrupted Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s dinner at a restaurant, forcing Kavanaugh to slip out the back. Worse yet, the group then offered “bounties”: Just message them if you see Kavanaugh, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett, or Roberts out in public and they’ll pay you $50 — or $200 if they’re still there 30 minutes after your message.

Harassing Kavanaugh at a restaurant after an assassin had been arrested near his home didn’t show a lot of class, and neither does ShutDownDC’s promise to disrupt the congressional baseball game, the practices for which made Republicans a target of a shooter who managed to wound Rep. Steve Scalise. So maybe lay off the baseball game? No way.

We’d ramp up security in any case.
