We‚Äôve heard a lot of gnashing of teeth over the latest Supreme Court ruling. As we just reported, Rolling Stone‚Äôs headline read, ‚ÄúThe Supreme Court rules 6-3 that the planet should burn.‚ÄĚ All the Supreme Court did was limit the power of the EPA and punt environmental legislation back to where it belongs: under an elected body.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of Congress, is fed up with this ‚Äúfascist‚ÄĚ Supreme Court which is restricting the federal government from regulating anything in the absence of a clear congressional directive to do so.
Fascist SCOTUS guts the EPA's ability to regulate carbon emissions, fight climate change.
The federal government will be restricted from regulating anything of significance in the absence of a clear Congressional directive to do so. https://t.co/zwxyKii9P6

You had me at ‚Äúthe federal government shall be restricted‚ÄĚ. What a glorious thing!

Do me a favor, read it again.

… which is EXACTLY as the constitution defines the job YOU have.
More time writing clear Congressional directives, less time tweeting.

I'm just spitballing here but…. it might mean that a legislator should do his/her own job and not farm it out to some administrative body.

If only you were in a position to make those Congressional directives…

You are literally a member of congress.

Fascism is when the administrative state has less power. Brilliant reasoning here. Great job.

Fascism. / (ňąf√¶ É…™z…ôm) / noun. A political system in which the courts prevent executive agencies from acting without clear Congressional directives. https://t.co/uy3yeq6emk

What you’re describing is the opposite of fascism. Getting it exactly backward is so unlike you

Fascism is when Congress has to do its job

Fascism is when the democratically elected representatives have to pass laws rather then unelected bureaucrats with no accountability. pic.twitter.com/0MmAIBqhcP

My sister in God, your job is literally to work to provide clear Congressional directives.

"The federal government will be restricted from regulating anything of significance in the absence of a clear Congressional directive to do so."
If only there were people who could provide such directives. Know anyone?

What is your proposal to grant this authority to the EPA?

So it’s fascist to reduce the power of unelected federal bureaucrats and return it to the elected representatives of the people. Got it.
Elena Kagan’s dissenting opinion in SCOTUS’ EPA decision suggests Congress is full of idiots who should let unelected bureaucrats run things https://t.co/MacGVFn99u
