Former Sen. Claire McCaskill hopes the televised January 6 hearings are not 'a lot of white men asking lots of boring questions'

As Twitchy has reported, the January 6 committee makes its prime-time debut Thursday night, and they’ve brought on the former president of ABC News to distill a mountain of evidence into a compelling multimedia event. They probably have a killer PowerPoint slide deck ready to go, despite still sitting on thousands of hours of unseen footage. As The Guardian reports, the panel’s greatest difficulty will be getting Republican and independent voters to care:

With well-loved Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger running the show, what’s there to worry about?

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill told MSNBC she hopes the hearings aren’t like the Watergate hearings, which were just “a lot of white men asking lots of boring questions.”

That’s it! Have Drag Queen Story Hour with the drag queen reading the committee’s report!

They’re really hyping up these televised hearings as something special — way more than just boring white men asking questions. This is going to be a multimedia extravaganza that’s going to blow people’s minds.
