As Twitchy reported earlier, a Democratic candidate for the Arizona State House of Representatives tweeted about two Kansas City, Missouri police officers who shot an “unarmed 26-year-old pregnant Black woman Friday night.” She exited a vehicle with her hands in the air and they shot her 5 times, he tweeted, before tweeting an update that the suspect was indeed armed.
Occupy Democrats helping in spreading the message:
BREAKING: A witness reveals that Kansas City police shot Leonna Hale, a pregnant unarmed Black woman, five times as she was running away from them — she has been hospitalized with serious injuries but remains stable. RT TO DEMAND THAT THE POLICE BE INVESTIGATED IMMEDIATELY!

There's literally a photograph taken at the scene with her holding a gun when she was shot.

Here’s ex-computer scientist T. Greg Doucette:
If you're going to photoshop something, make sure to fill in both ankles 😉 https://t.co/YS2QLAf15o pic.twitter.com/SqILuOUdbX

Genius thinks video compression & motion artifacts are evidence of a conspiracy of photoshopping a gun into the woman’s hand. He even discusses how I’m liable for defamation because he thought the image came from me. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office released it. https://t.co/aFAXNbePPu

What’s amazing here is that if it really was photoshopped, that means the Dem lady DA did it and none of them give a s*it once that’s pointed out.

Imagine thinking this is photoshopped, what someone went in and cropped out the ankle and hand, why? If she had been photoshopped in she wouldn't be missing her ankle like this.
— Mimicry (@JustMimicry) June 2, 2022
People were saying it was “clearly shopped” because her arm was like phasing through the fence… because somehow in their mind it made logical sense that someone altering a photo would weave someone’s arm through a fence to make it believable.

Dude is a computer scientist and an attorney, but still doesn’t know how compression and prosecutions work

The mayor’s office has confirmed that the still image was taken from a police officer body camera.

When a so-called "expert" doesn't understand the basics of digital video
This is why no one believes in science anymore

Doucette thinks he has a case:
In the embedded QT here, you'll notice Andy started cropping out the ankles in the photoshopped pic so folks would stop pointing out it was an obvious fake: https://t.co/4cU1nCBZvT
— T. Greg Doucette (@greg_doucette) June 2, 2022
Can she sue him for this? This seems insanely provocative and slanderous…does he just get off scot-free for doing crap like this?
— Kat Burdick (@OnlyGoodLive) June 2, 2022
In theory, yes. In practice, litigation is time-consuming and invasive even when you win, so it's rare for people to bother with it if they're not already rich https://t.co/vAWD7P9DCe
— T. Greg Doucette (@greg_doucette) June 2, 2022
Um, why Photoshop a gun into the woman’s hand and then erase her ankle?
