As we’ve said before, there’s been quite the turnaround on Merrick Garland. He was a martyr for liberals for having “his” Supreme Court seat stolen out from under him. President Joe Biden gave him the consolation prize of making him attorney general, and now the liberals who wanted him on SCOTUS want him to resign and make way for an attorney general who will actually prosecute Donald Trump for inciting an insurrection on January 6. What’s taking him so long? Remember when liberals kept tweeting about “Mueller Time” being just around the corner?
There’s a piece in the New York Times Saturday about Garland, and a lot of people are focusing on one paragraph that claims Biden told his inner circle that Trump is a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted. We’re actually really sick of hearing people saying that democracy itself is in peril because a bunch of people stormed the Capitol building. The fear, of course, is that Trump will be reelected in 2024 and reintroduce authoritarianism.
Biden has confided to his inner circle that he believes Trump is a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, per two people familiar with his commentshttps://t.co/NouqjYUG0S

Biden is telling staff he wants his Justice Department to PROSECUTE President Trump.

He wants to avoid becoming a banana republic by acting like one? Got it.

Strange how it is only undemocratic, and incompetently run, countries whose leaders feel the need to label their political opponents as “threats to democracy”, “enemies of the people”, “foreign agents/saboteurs” and other such unimaginative nonsense.

That isn’t why we criminally prosecute people.
Biden has never been a prosecutor & was a defense lawyer in DE for a minuscule amount of time 50 years ago. 🙄
Even when he was in his right mind, he would have had no idea what he was talking about in this area of the law. https://t.co/pbdsztiiz3

No, the progressives are afraid he is going to run again and just like the impeachment distractions, they have to find the next distraction to utilize.

Trump is a threat to Biden and the Democrats; that's their problem.

Did I imagine that Eric Holder defied Congressional subpoenas once upon a time? The outrage here is amusing.

For what crime, specifically. We can't just put people in prison because we want them there.

They’ve had a year and they’ve managed to keep all the protesters locked up and the ones that have been convicted, have relatively minor crimes.
This is flat out persecution of a political rival and it’s designed to keep Trump from running. Banana Republic BS.

Their wish is to make so that Trump isn’t legally allowed to hold office again.
