In his column last week, Thomas L. Friedman took a shot at the right-wingers who suggest President Joe Biden wouldn’t know AARP from NATO and saw a future where Vladimir Putin backed off from Ukraine because Biden had “matched every Putin chess move with an effective counter of his own.” Are we talking about the same Joe Biden who said Thursday that “no one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening” right after a speech announcing a new round of sanctions?

There is an ‘if’ in that sentence and it’s doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Well at least he’s been consistently wrong. Every. Single. Time.

Interesting how the left automatically labels you "right winger" if you criticize Biden.

The only important countermove was the one that would have prevented the invasion. Every countermove after that, doesn't matter.

The lengths the true believers will go to to convince themselves they didn't beg for an incompetent, senile old fool to represent them on the world stage is amazing to see.
Sadly, they're not the ones dying because of the fool's unearned arrogance.

Why is Thomas Friedman still in print, and in the NYT no less? The guy never fails to be spectacularly wrong. I wonder if he still wants to be China for a day?

Your point? I mean, other than seeking to score cheap political points at the expense of America, of course.

The chessmaster should have boosted energy production months back and could be taking credit for it today.
