Mijente describes itself in its Twitter bio as “a new political home for Latinx and Chicanx organizing,” so we guess they didn’t get the memo that most Hispanic voters oppose illegal immigration and dislike being called “Latinx.”
So we were prepared for the guy in the video to explode or something; after all, they called it “horrific.” What it is is a drone with a taser attached, technology that is intended to build a “smart wall” along the border. We imagine this thing has limited use — the U.S. obviously isn’t going to (or could) tase every migrant, but zapping a human smuggler might be useful.
