As Twitchy reported Tuesday morning, national scold and self-described white Christian male Matthew Dowd announced he was ending his campaign for Texas lieutenant governor after just 69 days, claiming he had chosen to step back now that the race was emerging in a more diverse way. We even said “Sorry” to Jen Rubin in that post, who’s made such recent political calls as declaring that Bill Kristol’s endorsement was going to be big for Terry McAuliffe. We thought we’d do a wellness check on Rubin, who was obviously disappointed.
