The drones who run the social media accounts of airlines like American are finding themselves having to defend the need to display a photo ID to board an airplane after Georgia decided you needed one to vote:

Sen. Adam Morfeld has had enough of people joking that they don’t need a photo ID to fly if they don’t need one to vote. However, Morfeld points out that voting is a constitutional right:

Voting is a constitutional right. Owning a gun is a constitutional right. We should have the same policy about whether you need an ID to participate in either of those rights.

And in the case of Crawford v. .Marion County Election Board (2008), a 6-3 majority of SCOTUS ruled that requiring photo ID to vote is constitutional. The majority opinion was written by Justice Stevens, who, being from Chicago, knew all about voter impersonation.

Voting is NOT a constitutional right. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures…but upon probable cause…is a constitutional right. Voting is a privilege. Travel is a right.

Fifteenth Amendment does not explicitly grant anyone the right to vote. Instead, it prohibits federal and state governments from placing restrictions on voting based on three criteria: race, color, and previous condition of servitude. The entire amendment is two sentences long:
