As Twitchy reported, FBI Director Christopher Wray appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday and made the death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick even more of a mystery. He also got Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee thinking: only 300 people have been arrested in connection with the storming of the Capitol, while 1,000 people were arrested during months and months of rioting in Portland. Did we say rioting? We meant protesting.

Portland had 5+ months of nightly violent riots that included assaults, murders, buildings being burned down etc.

And her logic is based on there being 40,000 protesters there, seemingly unaware that protesting isn't a crime. The 300 that were charged and will be prosecuted are a significant portion of those who actually committed crimes on Jan 6th. No similar thing happened in Portland.

The Portland RIOTS went on for six months. The Capitol riot was a one day event. Of course there will be more arrests in 180 days of riots than in one riot. If anything the Portland police were remarkably hands off.
