Newsweek makes former Democratic assemblyman a Republican as he sues AOC for blocking him

We’ve done more than a few of these posts about a sudden party switch in the media. Just a month ago, MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt issued a correction saying that “of course” James Eastland and Herman Talmadge, two segregationist senators name-checked by Joe Biden, were Democrats, not Republicans as she’d initially reported. And as plenty mentioned, it’s weird how the party switch always goes in the same direction.

And now, because he’s suing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for blocking him on Twitter, former Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind is suddenly a Republican, according to Newsweek.

Newsweek reports:

A pair of Republicans from New York reportedly have pending lawsuits against Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for blocking them on Twitter.

Former state assemblyman Dov Hikind tweeted Tuesday afternoon that if President Donald Trump was told by a judge that he cannot block anyone on social media, then Congress should follow the same rules.

“No one is above the law. If the courts ruled POTUS can’t block people on Twitter, why would @AOC think she can get away with silencing her critics?”

Guys, he’s not a Republican. He was a Democratic assemblyman for 35 years.

Just once we’d like to see this go the other direction.

P.S. So Trump can’t block critics … because he’s a man and can handle it?
