We love it when progressives eat each other, so it was fun to see MSNBC political analyst Zerlina Maxwell busting on Bernie Sanders for ignoring the existence of intersectionality in his tweet:
This is America’s ugly two-tier criminal justice system: If you are a billionaire like Jeffrey Epstein charged with sex trafficking, you get off with virtually no punishment. If you are a person of color or working class person, the justice system is built to work against you.
— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) July 9, 2019
Is Sanders saying that there are no working-class people of color? Pretty racist.
This is a poorly worded tweet that ignores the existence of intersectionality.
"If you are a person of color or working class person…"
ummmm…"or" ???????????
This is an easy fix so hopefully this mistake doesn't happen ever again now that this has been pointed out. https://t.co/HPWxbTt5lw

Thank goodness someone’s policing Twitter for poorly worded tweets that are easily fixed. And speaking of …
No one would reasonably think you meant black women can't be mothers with a career…would they? I mean, only people with an incredibly bad faith interpretation of this tweet would think that…right? pic.twitter.com/64VrcQwNOP

I expect she won’t be making this mistake again, now that it’s been pointed out
