“Unplanned” opened in theaters nationwide Friday. It’s the story of Abby Johnson, one of the youngest Planned Parenthood directors in the United States, who resigned and became a pro-life activist after being asked to assist in an abortion at thirteen weeks’ gestation. The movie stars Ashley Bratcher as Johnson, and she asked Twitter why the movie’s official Twitter account was suspended on opening weekend.
Trying to figure out why the @UnplannedMovie account has been suspended. ? We need answers. #unplannedmovie pic.twitter.com/rTIXVzHwI5

Twitter just suspended @UnplannedMovie during the weekend of its theatrical release.@jack why are they suspended? You’ve banned both my & @LiveAction account from all promotions simply bc we’re pro-life. Have you banned this account because it challenges your pro-abortion bias? pic.twitter.com/TBarDx2sU4

On the plus side, the account’s back up; to be honest, it was a short suspension, but we’d still love to hear why it happened at all. It might not be visible in the attached image above, but all the suspension notice says is, “Account suspended: Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter rules.”
Thank you everyone for your support in letting @Jack & @Twitter know when our Unplanned Movie account was recently suspended without cause.
We are back and excited for the great response we're getting in theaters this weekend.#grateful https://t.co/vTmhqoXIWm— UnplannedMovie (@UnplannedMovie) March 30, 2019
Needless to say, followers weren’t happy to see the movie’s account suspended, especially on opening weekend.
Oh, no, no, no!!!! Censorship at the highest level. Twitter folks, let your voice be heard.

Seriously @Jack? Come on.

We demand answers @Twitter @jack! How did they violate your "rules"?
— Blake Johnson (@realblakeradio) March 30, 2019
I woke up and saw it. Answers are definitely needed.
— Elliott (@elliottj127) March 30, 2019
Well we all know why it was suspended…

Here’s Dana Loesch:
Why was @UnplannedMovie suspended on its opening weekend?
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) March 30, 2019
If Twitter doesn’t discriminate against ideology, as they attested to during their hearing, then why seemingly do only conservative accounts continue to be suspended for no TOS violations? What did @UnplannedMovie do to warrant such an action? Where is the consistency? https://t.co/qVHAwESZ4r
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) March 30, 2019
I say this because I have seen so many other accounts of different ideological persuasion that DO violate TOS (sending death threats, doxxing, etc) that are allowed to remain up and active even after reporting.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) March 30, 2019
Jack may be genuine in wanting Twitter to operate fairly, but the company’s culture, as evidenced by the suspensions I’ve referenced, challenge that, or at least challenge how he wants to run the company.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) March 30, 2019
And literally as I typed the last Tweet @UnplannedMovie was restored, thankfully, as it’s their opening weekend. I hope @TwitterSupport looks into how stuff like this keeps happening. It can’t all be algorithms, can it?
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) March 30, 2019
Twitter certainly isn’t helping the case of liberals who claim conservatives are crying wolf about censorship of conservative ideas on social media.
As someone who has been working on the mktg/group sales for #Unplannedmovie, I'm not surprised. LOTS of ticked off people (and principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness…) about the truths spoken in this film. THANK YOU, Dana…for tweeting about this suspicious suspension.

Probably a coordinated reporting that tripped an automatic flag over volume. Their system is too easy to game.

Freedom of expression under attack in the land of the free. Arise and fight.

I dont think i have ever seen a movie recieve such strong opposition.
— Jeff Fox (@JeffFox44) March 30, 2019
Probably just a “glitch” , It certainly not biased censorship , because Twitter is an open platform , supporting all views , because that’s what they told us

But no agenda, right?
— Michael (@michael11041104) March 30, 2019
What she is actually saying @jack is we see you’ve taken another ideology driven rule to its logical end, a clear bias, and we noticed
— Grant Taylor (@raccoontalking) March 30, 2019
Like we said, the account wasn’t down long, but it shouldn’t have been down at all … was there a coordinated effort to report the account maybe?
In any case, check out the trailer if you haven’t yet:
